====== Ash Hill ======

Ash Hill is a single red star in the Cawdren Heath region. It has two major planets and 96 minor bodies.

The star is enclosed within a dust cloud, dimming the star when viewed from a distance and making it difficult for sensors to get accurate readings from outside the system.

During the League Era, Ash Hill's location on the fringes of [[Galactic Defense League]] space, coupled with its obscurity, made it a popular port for privateers and other ships who wanted to avoid League attention. The pirate [[Wicker]] based her operations here. When the Core Governance came to power, the changing galactic economy reduced the need for privateer and pirate operations, and Ash Hill became a backwater.

In the [[Quiet Era]], the system was once more a border town, this time at the meeting of the [[Hail Trade Alliance]], [[Old Jansamei]], and the [[Nightfall Pact]]. It was a regular anchorage for ships passing between the three states. [[caydlaw|Cayd]] knight [[David Hazelwood]] made his name here as the Sword of Ash Hill, defending the system from an attempt by the [[Eagle's Shadow]] to place a toll on the spaceways.
