The Calico Drift is a white quaternary star in the Hail region. It has 18 major planets and 1,229 minor bodies.

The system's primary star is the brightest, orbited by three dim companions. There are numerous asteroid belts and ice fields in the system, the remnants of smaller bodies torn apart by the complex gravitic conditions. The two gas giants, the High and Low Drifters, follow irregular paths around the entire system, their orbits noticeably affected by every star.

During the Quiet Era, the system is part of the Hail Trade Alliance.
