Jay Pelecki is a human Knight of Cayd Rock in the Quiet Era. Pelecki is a tall blonde Euro-Nordic who uses the pronouns she/her.

Jay has a strong sense of justice, which is highly valued in her duties. However, although she maintains a confident, taciturn appearance, she is often beset by self-doubt and questions the wisdom of her decisions.

She has a personal grudge against former knight Ian Forle, after he betrayed her during a mission.

As a Knight of Cayd Rock, Jay Pelecki was titled the Winter Princess. She served as an adventurer, spending most of her time far from Cayd Rock, and often outside Caydlaw entirely.

Pelecki was one of three knights assigned by Lord Morao Cannock to investigate a mysterious vectal drone which appeared on Cayd Rock. During this mission, Pelecki freed the Combat Moth Gripen from captivity and recovered the lost Voidjammer Roko's Basilisk. As a reward for her determination and honourable conduct in the pursuit of this quest, Lord Cannock made her his first lieutenant and successor.

After Lord Cannock's retirement, Pelecki served as Lady of the Rock, titled the Summer Queen. Pelecki was noted as a fair and polite ruler who was nevertheless willing to be firm in the appropriate circumstances.

Upon her own retirement, Pelecki nominated Kassarine Bauer to suceed her. Pelecki then took the Roko's Basilisk on a new quest of her own. Her fate after this is not recorded.

Like all Knights, Pelecki was issued a monomolecular blade and a Bugorski gun (particle gun) from the Vectal Arsenal at Cayd Rock. Her sword was named Viimeinen Valo (Last Light) and her gun was named Onnekas Keihäs (Fortunate Spear).

For the quest to find the Golden Drone, Pelecki was given the Cayd corvette Feerliz Endjen, and this ship remained under her personal command until her retirement.
