New Kandahar is a habitable planet in the B Kairon system. In 4409, it was the site of the Battle of New Kandahar, which pitched Core Governance defenders against the Cossus Incursia.

The planet is largely arid, with a dusty equatorial belt bordered by extensive savannah regions. The majority of the planet's water is found underground, occasionally coming to the surface in small rivers and lakes.

Native animal life is relatively small-scale, consisting mostly of birds, insects, and small mammals.

New Kandahar was settled in 3276 by a human colony ship. By the 45th century, there are several farming settlements distributed around the planet, as well as a larger capital city. The population is still mostly human, as the climate does not suit Epechi particularly well.
