Jansamei is a single yellow star in the Jansamei region. It has three major planets and 2,954 minor bodies.

With all three planets being Earthlike, Jansamei was one of the earliest targets for colonisation once FTL technology allowed travel outside the immediate proximity of Sol. It developed into one of the most populous and industrious systems in the galaxy, and is a major centre of society.

During the Quiet Era, Jansamei is the administrative capital of the government of Old Jansamei.
