Panther Combat Armour is a series of personal powered armour designs used by soldiers of the Andromeda Alliance and Core Governance.

Panther suits are typically hard-shelled and coloured blueish-grey. As a fully-enclosed powered suit, the design is relatively bulky.

There are two styles of helmets in common use. The type used by organic soldiers has a thin “goggles”-style visor and a pronounced forehead armour piece. The variant used by Jiangshi troopers has a wide T-shaped visor and a smoothly curved forehead.

Composed of thick layers of ceramics and carbon composites, the armour offers excellent protection against infantry weapons. In later models, this is augmented by energy shielding which allows Panther to withstand even high-calibre impacts.

Panther is equipped with a set of maneuvering thrusters, located in the hands, on the back of the legs, and on the back of the torso. These offer improved agility under gravity and full flight control in zero gravity.

In addition to its base systems, Panther can be fitted with various mission packages, such as drones, electronic warfare systems, or missile launchers.

Suits are fully battlenet-integrated and can transmit and receive data from their full-spectrum sensor suites. This awareness and networking capability makes any Panther-equipped unit a lethal hunter-killer.
